Great Pine Ride
A community of trail users rooted in the Ganaraska Forest
The Great Pine Trail Riders (GPTR) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run club, connecting trail users who care about responsible recreation, community, and the long-term health of the Ganaraska Forest.
What began as a way for dirtbike riders to ride together has grown into a broader community of people who value shared trails, fair access, and staying engaged in how our public forest lands are managed.

Who We Are
GPTR brings together dirtbike riders, mountain bikers, equestrians, and other trail users who share a connection to the Ganaraska Forest.
We focus on:
- Community connection and communication
- Responsible, cooperative trail use
- Staying informed and engaged in forest management decisions
Whether you ride regularly, support shared access, or simply care about the future of the Ganaraska Forest, GPTR provides a way to stay connected.
Why Membership Matters
Membership supports more than individual participation, it supports a strong, informed community. As a GPTR member, you:
Connect with other trail users through group rides and meetups
Stay informed about trail access, meetings, and key updates
Gain access to member-only community spaces
Help ensure trail users have a voice in decisions that affect the forest
Get Involved in the Great Pine Community

Membership
Become part of a community connected by shared trails, responsible recreation, and a commitment to the future of the Ganaraska Forest.
Membership gives you access to group rides, member-only spaces, and timely updates about trail access and forest management.

Events & Group Rides
GPTR members stay connected through informal group rides and shared communication. Rides and meetups are coordinated through a WhatsApp group, making it easy to connect, plan rides, and stay flexible as conditions change.

Support
Recent changes to forest management have affected trail access and safety. GPTR is working to support transparent, accountable decision-making and restore safe, usable access through established management commitments.
You don’t need to ride to support this work, staying informed and engaged matters.
